Miss Elly's Antiques &
" Don't Miss.....Miss Elly's "
One of Hawley, PA's not to be missed antique shops, the blue clapboard style Victorian at 518 Church Street boasts rooms filled with displays and vignettes that show first-hand how to mix styles together. Stepping into Miss Elly's Antiques & Such is like being invited into a private home filled with interesting and treasured heirlooms.
By integrating solid, old, quality pieces together with "lighter" things such as painted furniture, glass, or even mid-century materials like lucite, the offerings at Miss Elly's appeal to both purists as well as contemporary collectors. Today the function of many old standbys has changed, with people using antiques in creative and decorative ways. Examples include making use of sideboards as bars or television stands in family rooms or as storage in a hallway.
Antiques lend a sense of permanence and history to a home, and have the advantage of being repurposed and green. A table made of wood from a tree harvested 200 years ago, for example, has survived ten generations and will probably carry on for another ten, offering lasting beauty, quality, and value.
Located just 4 doors off scenic Route 6 (Main Avenue) in the historic downtown, Miss Elly's Antiques & Such is a diversified shop where antiques are more than a past-time, here they are a passion.
We have: Furniture, paintings and prints, glass, pottery, jewelry, porcelain, primitives, vintage linens and textiles, books and paper items, sterling silver, and more. There is also a small hand-selected offering of old fashioned style contemporary sterling lockets plus heirloom flavored jams like strawberry rhubarb and boysenberry, apple- and pumpkin butter, and flavored honey (delicious over ice cream). Please see our "& Such" link for more details.
A friendly multi-dealer shop, Miss Elly's Antiques is owner-operated and managed to insure personal attention to your collecting wants and needs, from the functional to the whimsical and everything in between. We currently have an abundance of new "old" items just in from several local estates and always feature an eclectic mix. Please bring your friends and family along when you come to see us. We look forward to your visit.
